Giving Her The Tools You Wish You Had Been Given
Introduction
Young women today face a unique set of challenges, never before seen in our written history. Sure, they have many opportunities that their grandparents never did, but that is a gift which comes with piles of pressure and a tonne of self-esteem issues. Chances are, you have wondered yourself how you should guide them through their unique journeys. But where to begin?
It is likely that you were left to figure things out for yourself. To learn from your own mistakes. That is the path that many young women will continue to wander. But what if there was a better option?
What if you could prepare the important young women in your life? Would you choose to equip them with the correct tools and mental skills that they will need? That is where StrutCamp fits in.
StrutCamp is designed to help young women to understand who they really are so that they can see through the fog of confusion in order to make choices and decisions that will support them on their journey. No longer will they be faced with a list of half-baked notions of what they ‘should’ be doing. Instead, they will know intuitively how they will proceed through life, by turning to the tools that StrutCamp has provided.
Challenges Facing Young Women
Society - that faceless entity, which serves as a scapegoat for many of today’s woes. It has created a unique bundle of issues for today’s young women to unpack. There is a loud message that girls in the Western world should consider themselves blessed.
There is freedom, access to education and information like never before. They are praised for their talent, unlimited potential and beauty. So why are girls with so much opportunity failing to ‘go and get’ the life that is waiting for them?
The answer is simple. Fear.
Fear of the unknown. Fear of failing. Fear of never reaching that ambiguous ‘golden potential’ that has been promised.
The confusion of ‘shoulding’ compounds this fear. By this, I mean the internal voice that says:
- I should be doing this
- I should look like that
- I shouldn’t react in this way
- I should be more like her
Young women have a mountain to climb, filled with so many pitfalls, that it is no wonder they can’t find the motivation to begin. StrutCamp will address the underlying fears by equipping them for this journey so that whenever a stumbling block is met, they can continue to make progress.
How Can StrutCamp Help?
We have spoken to hundreds of women, and the same concerns continue to appear. Take a look and see if these worries resonate with you, or with the young women in your life:
- Do you experience difficulty in making decisions?
- Do you limit your beliefs in your abilities and question your boundaries?
- Do you find yourself lacking confidence in life and criticising your actions?
- Do you suffer from anxieties that prevent you from leading a fulfilling life in work, relationships and family?
- Do you struggle with emotional wounds from the past?
These are all areas that are covered in depth. Our ultimate goals are to help young women to understand and manage their emotions and their relationships, in all areas of their life. They can be summed up in 4 headings.
- Let go.
- Be more confident.
- Become a better you.
- Heal, resolve and deal with challenges that life and career throw at you.
StrutCamp looks at each element of life, in turn, to build overall confidence and truly empower the young women who take part. We call the modules the 5 Es.
Energy - How to take care of the body and mind, managing emotions and building confidence.
Engagement - How to communicate effectively, including in difficult circumstances. How to engage with people and build strong relationships.
Environment - How to tailor your own personal space, to support development. Awareness of negative cycles that may be established.
Economics - The importance of valuing time and investing it wisely. Becoming aware of the emotional bank account. This area is also about decision-making skills.
Evolution - Evaluating where you are on YOUR journey and identifying what is holding you back. Understanding how to overcome your own limiting beliefs, so that you can transform and not just walk through life but Strut.
Who Is The Creator Of StrutCamp?
StrutCamp has been created by Jamie Edwards, the founder of Trained Brain. He is a leading mental performance coach, who has built his career helping elite athletes and business people to up their ‘mental-game’.
For years he has been asked by his clients to create a programme to empower young women. People are keenly aware of the challenges that their sisters, daughters, nieces and students are facing - and have turned to Jamie for help.
Having worked with young women on many occasions Jamie can see first hand how his tools and strategies that have been successful in transforming the lives of his sporting and business clients, can help young women too. He also has a young daughter, and his passions have led to this point. StrutCamp was created to help as many young women as possible, acquire the tools that are often only available to those who are on the corporate leadership programme.
Conclusion
StrutCamp has been created for young women and has been tailored around their specific concerns. It was born out of a desperate need to provide guidance in the unchartered territory of modern life. We want to help as many young women as possible to learn who they really are…..to enable them to be able to make decisions from their authentic heart. To clear the fog of confusion and fear and establish real confidence.
We want to ask…..Why walk when you can strut?
